ART IN

WOOD

USE OF CERTIFIED WOOD WASTE

CONNECT WITH DESIGNERS IN EXCLUSIVE EXPERIENCES

WOOD HISTORY TRANSFORMED INTO UNFORGETTABLE MEMORIES

WHEN TIME BECOMES SHAPE

A madeira é mais do que matéria. Ela é memória.

Wood is more than just material. It is memory.

It carries within its core silent stories — marks of time, of use, of the lives that once surrounded it.
It has been a wall, a floor, a home. And now, it is reinvented as art.

Turning wood into art is an act of listening and respect. It’s allowing the past to converse with the present through design, creativity, and intention.

By using waste from certified wood, we give new meaning to what would otherwise be discarded. It is the residue of the residue: wood that has already served other purposes and now transforms once again — into unique pieces, full of identity, with strong emotional appeal and a positive environmental impact.

Each creation carries the aesthetics and texture of history, and the power to connect people to nature in a sensitive and conscious way.

Collaboration with designers and artisans further enriches this journey. With sharp eyes and skilled hands, they shape the wood into objects that go beyond function: gifts, corporate tokens, decorative pieces — always unique, always memorable.

Choosing wood art means choosing authenticity, sustainability, and timeless beauty.

It is turning raw material into emotion, connection, and legacy.

Feel the texture. See the time. Offer memory.

"Make your corporate gifts impactful with the uniqueness of sculpted wood."

The Abelha Arquiteta project was born as an offshoot of Arte em Madeira, combining ecological design and urban beekeeping under the same philosophy of reuse, beauty, and sustainability.

THE IMPORTANCE OF BEES TO THE WORLD.

Bees are much more than honey producers — they are true guardians of life.

They play an essential role in maintaining biodiversity and ensuring food security on the planet. Approximately 75% of flowering plants depend on pollination to reproduce, and bees are responsible for about 80% of this vital process. This includes a large portion of the fruits, vegetables, grains, and nuts we consume daily. (Source: FAO — Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations)

In addition to producing food, bees sustain wildlife. By pollinating native plants, they help preserve entire habitats, benefiting hundreds of other species. They are silent protagonists in the formation of fertile soils, climate regulation, and ecosystem balance.

However, this delicate system is under threat. Pesticide use, climate change, habitat destruction, and the emergence of diseases have caused an alarming decline in bee populations worldwide.

Protecting bees is protecting ourselves.

Supporting conservation initiatives ensures that the natural cycle of life continues to function, promoting a healthier, more balanced, and sustainable future for all.

WHEN WOOD SHELTERS LIFE

At the heart of the Abelha Arquiteta Project beats a simple and powerful conviction: art can transform the world — starting by giving new life to what would otherwise be discarded.

We use wood waste from the dismantling of old houses in rural Paraná. After serving as flooring, these fragments of history gain a new life in functional and poetic works. These pieces carry memory and purpose, transformed into shelters for pollinators, landscaping items, emotional corporate gifts, and invitations to reconnect with nature.

Our work combines architecture, original design and urban beekeeping in two main areas:

Although they don't produce honey, solitary bees are essential pollinators, responsible for pollinating many plants, including agricultural crops and native flowers. Their pollination activity ensures fertilization and the production of fruits and seeds, making them essential for ecosystem health and food security.

BEE HOUSE

The Bee House is a collaboration between Tetrus, Beemyguardian and architect Dante Furlan , integrating sustainable design, technical expertise and environmental technologies.
Together, we developed an innovative project that promotes pollination, strengthens the ecosystem, and supports sustainability, ensuring the preservation of bees.

JATAÍ BEE – A NATIVE SPECIES OF BRAZIL
This bee house was specially designed for the Jataí bee, a native Brazilian species belonging to the stingless bee group, known for its gentleness and adaptability.

It builds colonies in trees, walls, rooftops, and suitable boxes. Small and golden, it is an "urban pollinator," capable of thriving in densely populated environments. With proper care, the Jataí plays a crucial role in environmental preservation, proving that coexistence between nature and urbanization is not only possible — it is essential.

PROJECT CONCEPT

SUSTAINABLE MATERIAL

At Tetrus, we prioritize the use of reclaimed and FSC® certified wood (FSC-C184976) in our projects, ensuring full traceability of the timber used in both construction and design.

The bee house is no exception. It was crafted from wood waste sourced from reclaimed flooring of homes in the countryside of Paraná, contributing to the circular economy and giving new life to reused materials.

DESIGN

The design of the bee house, conceived by architect Dante Furlan , brought a sensitive vision to this project.

Combined with a technical and careful approach, the house offers thermal comfort, adequate ventilation, and protection from the elements, providing maximum functionality and comfort for its distinguished inhabitants.

High-resistance wood was used in the modular structure, facilitating maintenance and increasing its durability.
